The first annual SubFest at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum will be held on July 10-12, 2015. It is a weekend of all things “submarine” including the opening of new USS Cobia exhibits, visits from sub veterans, special tours on the boat, a submarine film festival at the local civic center, a submarine art exhibit at the local art museum, outdoor activities throughout the days and fireworks on Saturday night.
The museum would LOVE for the SubCommittee to be part of it. All R/C submariners are invited to the event. SubRon6 member Jim Smith has built a 20’ X 40’ X 2 ½’ deep pond at the museum for sub running on Saturday and Sunday. You can make a fun weekend of it and help promote the hobby.
If you are interested in attending, the museum would love to know by June 24th so they can get a tentative head count. If you have any questions you can email Jim at jvsmith@lakefield.net. Our you can contact the museum directly. Ask for Wendy Lutzke, Director of Education,
Wisconsin Maritime Museum.
