While visiting the Pampanito last week in S.F., I picked up a couple of nice soft bound books.
The first is from the Squadron Signal, On Deck series, "USS Pampanito" by Robert C. Stern (80 pgs.). This is a good book for the modeler as it is packed with detail photos inside and out of the sub.
The second is "USS Pampanito A Submarine and Her Crew" by Cark Nolte (67 pgs.). This is a short synopsis of the crew and the sub's career. No detail photos, but, some nostalgic period photos and illustrations. Still it is a nice book to have in your collection. The sign on the Store door says it is free with a ten dollar donation.
