i don't know if this helps any...

it was "barnstormer boats" that made/sold the 80"+ type II... and their website http://www.barnstormerboats.com no longer exists.

I also remember that Dave Hampton in Indiana? has a large Vesikko (type II predecessor) , i believe his is scratch-built, but you might want to PM him to make sure.

I have one of each hull, Barnstormer's-which I have done nothing with-80" loa. I recently picked up a 'partially started' Sheerline Type II, but it needs much work and several new parts. Chris discontinued the Type II from his line, and has been ill for some time, according to the website, so I haven't been able to get the new parts. He will make them for me and at one time did have some 'seconds' hulls but unknown if he has them now.

The Vesikko I have was one of the original Barnstormer hulls. It came in four sections along with a wooden mold for the Type II tower.

What parts are missing? These are simple boats and the internal parts are made bespoke, but nothing that can't be machined up on a small lathe.

Andy, the internals are perfect, just need new seals. The parts needed are outer hull parts/nozzles, etc. When I sent Chris pictures of the hull, he suggested I may want to replace it completely due to the very poor workmanship done by the previous owner. Chris/Sheerline has been down for sometime, but I see he is back to doing small things. He already has a list of parts needed, I just missed ordering before the site went down for awhile.
