Racing SubTech Albacore with D&E 3.0- SOLD-

This is one I built for the San Fran Sub Regatta back in 2001-2002. Used once and never sailed again. Pulled the electronics out to use in another sub but left the D&E 3.0 installed. Includes stand too. Looking to get $300 plus shipping for the package.

    Albacore

Consider it sold. If you're in the SF Bay Area, may I pick it up? Bob 510-685-2821

      Too far away to even

Too far away to even consider buying it, but let me say that this is one hell of a sub.

The decals are two sets of Slixx NASCAR decals because I needed the larger roof numbers for the sides of the hull and the Subtech and D&E logo was made with different color rub on lettering slighlty offset. The sub originally had the typical 4 basic controls plus dept control and a subsafe all by Subtech. It also has sail control which was operated by a pitch controller mounted 90 degress to help control hull roll. Battery pack was carried below the WTC. To fit all the gear into the WTC, you had to shed all the white cases from the Subtech gear.
Once I got the sub to the San Francisco Regatta, all the teething problems popped up all at once and I didn't get to run it much there. After I got home, I sorted it out but never got to run it again and endded up needing the electronics for other subs. It's been on the shelf ever since.
