WANTED: 7+ channel radio system

I'm looking to upgrade my existing Airtronics 6 channel setup to get more special effects out of some upcoming projects. Specifically, I would like one or two proportional rotary switches for controlling a set of piston tanks.

I'm open almost anything... I don't have preferences. I used to have a 9channel Futaba, and I really like that one.

I made a couple of

I made a couple of boards up for Ramesh and I that work with the Robbe/Futaba FC-16. These provide two multi-turn rotary pots and two switches for proportional piston ballast tank control. It was designed by Markus Rieger and he passed the details onto me. Simple stuff to make, and could be adapted for other sets, but some (basic ) electrical knowledge is helpful.

The board also upgraded the TX memory from 2 models to 26, with a 50 pence memory chip. Lot cheaper than Futaba's outrageously priced CAMPAC's. You don't have to fit that however for the rest of the board to work, and in Ramesh's case he wanted to keep the use of his CAMPAC's.

I'm definitely a proponent of the Multiplex Evo and Multiplex Pro radios. Both are basically the same...with the Pro being the internally updated version.

Also, is the Royal 12 compatible along all frequencies, or do they need to be specifically ordered in the 75mhz band?

You will need to find a radio that is crystal-based (vs. a synth RF deck) and have it converted to 75MHz.

...I'm not sure where to buy them, it's been a while since I looked for one. You could start with http://www.multiplexusa.com and see if that points you to a retailer.
