jeez, mine's been on order for months over at Squadron. I was hoping the big shops like Squadron, GreatModels, etc. would have been out front in getting these kits.

Yea I even took a photo of you guy's, Skip refered to you all as the three stooges back their just kidding Paul, I did however take up your addvice on writing articles, and I injoy it.

I hope I get my GATO first though, and your's makes it saftly their, I really just want one to fondle at this time, so many builds I am doing now, she must wait!

That's right, Brian. And we did have a good time in Carmel. Although I'd characterize us as Groucho, Harpo, Chico and Zeppo rather than the Three Stooges (Tom Kisler made four in our group).

You probably will get the first kit. I haven't ordered one yet. I've got the same problem -- more projects than I can build.

Keep writing -- it is fun, isn't it?

I pre-ordered 2 from Tower

I pre-ordered 2 from Tower Hobbies on Dec 22, 2005. Asked them yesterday and they have not arrived yet. Ordered 2 from Megahobby and they have already shipped.

Maybe I will go on and get the 2 from Tower and then donate them to the 2007 Regatta in Carmel.

Ok I guess I am the first to get the new GATO and Merriman gets his later today, yes it came by UPS today Megga Hobby is true to their word!!














Men you must get one , you may not like the GATO but trust me this model will change your mind!

The molding is superb, the guns are bueatiful casting, the deck is the Best I have ever seen, non better!

And YES their is RIVETS to scale on the Tower!

Jeff- based on what reply I just got on SubPirates, one and the same, except for the box art, apparently.
I just called Squadron; mine's shipping today, but they backed off on their "free shipping" for this. I was told to call back in an hour and talk to the supervisor and explain that Squadron's tactics just made them about $10 more than everyone else. I'm gonna bitch and complain about that and see if they'll honor their offer. Otherwise, I may cancel and go get it at MegaHobby or somewhere else.

Brian- Squadron is OK by me...I spoke with the prior owner, (now manager) and I'm going to continue giving them my business...all is well!

They are also getting ready to release a new "subs in action" that strictly focused on the GATO...due out on 12/1/06. Stand by for that.
