Well it looks like I will still be needing a 1/48 Gato class sub conning tower . Does anyone have one for sale or know where I might buy one ? (again)

Last I knew you could buy one from Scale Shipyard as a separate item. I'm not sure of what the waiting period would be though. An old catalog from 2004 has it listed for $37.95. The other option is to build your own from scatch.
If you have the Floating Drydock plan book there are several different variations you can build.

I believe the tower that boatbuilder was selling you was an Engel
tower and fittings. You might try Engel to see how much or if it is available seperately.

Thanks guys . I have tried Lee at SSY and he doesnt offer the tower by itself anymore. I guess I will try Engel next. I got the hull in today and put it on the shelf till I can come up with all the parts.
