FOR SALE:  1/96 scale Russian Typhoon - 32 Parallel hull accurized

32 Parallel Typhoon Submarine in 1/96 scale (approx 6' OAL)

I've decided to let this model go in order to clear up room for a similar scratch building project that I've undertaken.

My Typhoon project is fully documented on My Typhoon Webpage. Feel free to stop in and take a look.

    [b]What you get]

-Accurized 1/96 scale hull, laid up in polyester resin and glass. Includes hull, top deck and sail.

    -Set of scratch built periscopes

-2.25" diameter RABOESCH brass props in left and right hand.

    -laser cut missile deck

-folder with miscellaneous reference material and blueprints.

This is a very roomy hull with tons of room for anything that you'll ever need to put in a sub (missiles, torps, working periscopes, etc..) The aft of the hull has been chopped off, completely rebuilt, and added on to more accurately reflect the real submarine's contours.

The new owner will need to do a bit of cleanup, scratch some control surfaces, scribe in some details, add some indexing strips, and mount the missile deck. That done, she'll be ready for electronics and trimming. This is not a complete kit, as the control surfaces are not included and will need to be scratch built.

Asking $350 plus shipping. Serious offers considered.

Email me at bob@rc-sub.com with questions and offers.

    Thanks.

    Bob,

I'm so tempted but for the same reasons as you I don't think it would be a good idea for me with all the scratch work I'm doing.

350 is such a low price your giving away IMHO.

So the real reason I'm posting is I just got to know. What are you working on that would make you kick this out the door?

      You saw I just sold

You saw I just sold mine. Bob and I have the same problem. Too many projects. In fact, we both have Revell boats, Seawolf kits, and each has another "big" project. His Nautilus, and my Akula.
Funny to see so many parrallels there.
Maybe later we can come back to this.....
It is a good deal. I was surprized to see it also.

        Steve,

I got it for cheap initially, and now I'm passing the torch to someone else for just what I've got into it. I'm a big fan of the Russian boats, so it'll be a Ruskie sub that I'm working on. More details to come. It's not a top secret project by any stretch, I just want to make sure that I'm set up properly before I get too far.

If $350 is too cheap, buy it and resell it for a profit!

Hey there Steve, thanks for the help offer. I feel that i would bother you way too much if i get this. I'm afraid that i would probably mess it up and it may never be sea worthy if i get it hahaha It took me almost 4 years to get the Albacore running... I cant imagine how long it will take me to get this in the water. But it does look awesome and the size is what i was looking for.

                    Well since Bob is no

Well since Bob is no longer returning my e-mail's on this subject. I figured I would share with everyone here on the board as to what lead up to this post.
I e-mail him Friday night about this boat. By saturday morning he gave me a price with shipping. Everything going well so far. I arranged the funds to be transferred as soon as I get his paypal account name. That was the last I heard from him. After several e-mails to him with no responce I checked this posting only to find he sold it to someone else.
He won't even respond to me as to say "sorry I sold it to someone close by".
I have no problem with that, I understand that shipping something this big is a hassle, but come on. Be a little more professional about this and tell me so I dont waste my time with funds transfers and run around. Not to mention my HUGE let down that I'm not getting a sub that's bigger than my wife!

                      Eric,

                      Might be a good idea

                      Eric,

Might be a good idea to check your inbox before you write posts like this. Maybe your junk mail filter is grabbing my emails. Maybe you're deleting them without looking first. You should have two messages waiting for you, one on Saturday morning, and the other on Sunday.

The hull got sold to a gentleman who I had been dealing with at the same time as you. Prior to my selling it to him, my last correspondence with you indicated that Monday was when you'd be willing and/or able to pay. This gentleman had the money to me in fifteen minutes.

Life's like that sometimes. I dealt in good faith with everyone that indicated interest. My reputation for honesty and integrity is important to me. Your post here is done in extremely bad taste.

Speaking of wasting time, you just wasted five of mine with me having to reply to this confrontational and arrogant post.

Don't bother posting back here unless it's with an apology. The hull is sold. The topic is closed. I won't be replying.

                        Bob,

                        I'm so sorry this happened.

                        Bob,

I'm so sorry this happened. Don't take it so hard from this guy flying off the handle. Who knows what his agenda is with one post and no information in his profile.

Your reputation remains unblemished with me and everyone who knows you here in the RC sub community.

The word your looking for Mr. 1 post is, "I'm sorry".
