I suspect its probably too small to give the big OTW VII enough freeboard to look realistic when surfaced. I think a 3.5 inch 2 motor WTC would work better on that application.

I can confirm that the ballast tank size in the WTC 3.0 mod 2 is not large enough for a 1/32nd scale Type VII.......the volume in the tank isn't nearly large enough!
