Type VII U-Boat on E-Bay

I know a lot of people here check out the submarine sales on E-Bay so I thought I'd pass on a concern I have about one particular sale, number 5930462858.
This looks like it might be that fellow from the UK that cheated so many hobbiests. He is attempting to sell a type VII and claims he is on the east coast of the USA, BUT he is registered in London and he only accepts money orders or cashiers checks.
This is a three day auction and he just registered on E-Bay with "0" feedbacks.
I wrote to him, but he has not answered.
This might be on the up and up, but please use caution if you see this offering and choose to go for it.

Of course, in his response he can't because his digital camera is broken!! That's because he doesn't really have the boat. This is definitely a scam. Stay away at all costs. Don't put too much faith in Ebay's "fraud protection".

A few years ago, a guy copied a photo of my Alfa from my website and tried to sell the model on Ebay.

A number of SC members - and I - sent numerous complaints to Ebay, filed the official complaint form, etc and they did absolutly nothing.

The crook eventually retracted the offer since he knew he was caught. For several months after the whole thing - he kept trying to send me computer virii - luckily I had Anti-virus software installed so he couldn't touch me.

As always, but especially on the web - caveat emptor, baby.

I sold that boat 2 months ago. Thats my EXACT LISTING right down to the shipping details. I posted this scam on on of EBAYS forums and it was immediately deleted. I was then warned by Ebay that such irresponsible,inaproriate and slanderous messages would lead to my account being banned. OOps,seems I didnt go through the proper channels. This was last week and he has again relisted the sub. I have received numerous emails from poteintial buyers. Seems he is offering them a quick sell off ebay if they pay now. I have also been contacted by a person from the UK. I cannot give details but eyes are on him. Meanwhile, Ebay has not contacted me. Bottom line is they are more concerned with their bottom line, MONEY.
