So I recently realized my life is no longer complete without an RC Disney Nautilus. I have a 31 inch one but I would like a bigger one, Ray Mason, Custom replicas etc.. maybe an Engel. Any condition considered. Willing to just buy one but also have stuff for trade, this forum is called sub swap and trading is more fun anyway. I was going to contact Bob Martin directly but i know he will read this here (Hi Bob
.
Here is what I have for trade bait:
1) Engel master series VIIc U-boats (I have two!). both partially built with all the fancy electronics etc. they are about 1/35th scale around 77" long. amazingly detailed models.
2) 32nd parallel Type IX U-boat in 1/32nd scale around 90" long. This was a finished working dry hull boat that has had some of it's guts removed for re-fit. It's painted and finished looking but not highly detailed. It could be a fairly quick job to get it back in the water though and could be taken to the next level with more detailing.
3) 1/48th Dan Kachur type VIIc. This boat was a finished working model and then was lost at sea for several months until recovered by a diver. It has a Dave M WTC. It is complete but will need work to be operational again.
4) 1/12 Biber midget U-boat. This was my own home made project. after seeing two real Bibers in England and taking many photos I made a plug and mold and cast my own GRP hull. I finished one and sold it many years ago and this one was never finished but working with a gas ballast system. Had it running a few years ago but will need work to get it going again it is about 30" long.
Non Submarine but boat related:
5) ST army tug 38" long. It was scratch built (maybe from plans?). Completely working with pitmann 12v motor and working lights. wood hull, nice looking and running model.
6) giant 1/16 PT Boat project. 63" long GRP hull was made by a cottage industry maker and is very hard to find. It has a deck on it and quite a few torpedo and detail parts and it comes with two brand new vintage sea wasp 12 by kroker engineering water cooled motors. These are little works of art and quite valuable and collectible.
also lots of other non-boat RC stuff. 1/6 and 1/16 scale tanks. Vintage RC cars, tons of planes (aero not hydro).
I'll post pictures if anyone is interested in a trade. willing to trade plus or minus cash as needed. might consider selling any of these if I can find my Nautilus (in my mind it will still be a trade, trading stuff for cash and cash for other stuff
).
Thanks for reading
Jason.
