    Vintage 32 parallel XXIII submarine

Hi everyone, I have what I believe is a 32nd parallel XXII r/c submarine (w/torpedoes) that I would like to find a new home for.

The sub was in the 1991 movie F/X2 and had the grand part of taking out a bad guy with the deck gun. I purchased the sub from the production company, here in Toronto, after filming was complete. I had the sub vetted by a R/C hobby shop soon after the purchase to make sure everything worked and the sub was given a clean bill of health.

See video link below, sub comes on at 1:06:55

Well the sub was put aside for when I had some time but other commitments became more important and the sub has sat since, so time to find a new home for it.

What I can tell you about it, it was built by a company called All Effects Co. out of North Hollywood, ca. (still in business) and has a Futabo FB-T8SGA-P controller. The actual sub itself, I can't tell you a lot about. It is 42" long. I hope the photos tell you some of what you need to know. If you have questions, please ask. I am not knowledgeable in R/C talk, but will do my best to answer.

If your seriously interested, I have no issue taking the sub to a shop of your choice in the Toronto area to have it vetted for you, at your cost of course. I'm trying to post some photos,,,,,,

Dealing with crating, shipping can be discussed at any time. Buyer would be responsible for shipping, insurance and crating cost. I have the means to crate the sub and take it to a freight forwarder if need be.

    thank-you
    Martin

    more photos,

One of the rear dive planes has a small part broken off of it. It was like this when I bought it. Other than that the sub is pretty solid.

A deck gun on a XXIII. Funny. Leave it to Hollywood.

Regardless of that twist, good luck with the sale...
