    VS-8 Hydrofoil for sale

I have a VS-8 1/32 scale hydrofoil boat for sale. Made by 1/32 parallel.
I bought this guy new in 1982, put it on a shelf and forgot about it.
I did nothing to it so it is BNIB, essentially. I cannot upload pics from my tablet but can forward to you.
Pics can be viewed on Google images as well. This is a very interesting kit, trust me. (ha)
Value? You tell me, make me an offer, a reasonable one.
Contact me at " etoth3333@yahoo.com" for pics or more info.
    thank you

          Who got it????
I remember this in the 32nd Parallel's catalog.
My wish list was a Gato, Type VII, and the hydrofoil.

Please do a build on it, I will live vicariously through you.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

I think that is an Engle Type IX. He was asking $750.00 for it....ouch.
              Regards,

              Matt

It was neither Don nor I.
So don't know who got it.
We both made offers but we never got replies. Must have been outbid. BD

I appreciate the info. I have since backed away from that list (except the Gato mumbling under my breath). I have enough on my plate. I think my wife would make me sleep in the dog house if I did not finish what I have and ad brought home another sub.

My mouth watered when these VS-8s came out, but I couldn't afford it. I read an article on one from a guy that built one and the major problems were getting it up and staying on the hydrofoils, turns caused stability issues, and avoiding getting the super long propshafts damaged. Glad I saw this after it was sold or I would be in the doghouse very quickly. I contented myself with the 32nd Parallel Schnellboote. I picked up a type VII on Ebay last year and am redoing it as a static diver.

The foil problem was not limited to the VS8.
And it's not really a problem it's flying. It's like flying a plane on top of the water it actually takes skill to learn how to run a hydrofoil correctly.
I have five different model hydrofoils and they all run differently and are tricky at first to operate but that's what makes them fun and challenging. BD
