Subtech Albacore with lots of stuff

    Folks,

I've been asked to help with the disposal of the submarine items from a late member's estate. He had a mostly complete SubTech Albacore with a scratchbuilt WTC, using most of the stock components. There is also a second, unstarted bare hull. Below is a basic list.

Albacore hull with X tail conversion, mostly built. Has drive shaft and prop installed. Control surfaces need to be added, holes are located and have brass tubes installed.

Scratch built pressure hull with the following installed from the kit:
    Ballast Tank
    Ballast pump
SubTech Reversing electronic switch for pump
    4 channel receiver
    SubTech APC-3
    2 servos
    Belt drive and motor
    SubTech speed controller

    Other items included:
    SubTech X tail mixer
    SubTech ADC1 depth controller
    SubTech failsafe
    Clippard propel solenoid valve
SubTech propel supply can adapter hose
Control yokes, assumed to be for x tail
original pressure hull which came with the kit
various bulkheads, WTC saddles, servo extensions, switches, several batteries, etc.
a set of Scale Shipyard control surfaces for a 1/72 Skipjack
several other loose unidentified control surfaces

Also there is an new, unstarted hull with the x tail conversion kit, and all control surfaces including prop. The sail is missing.

I have not tested anything, but would certainly assume that all is in good order. The components that aren't still in the packages look as new, and I doubt seriously that this project was ever completed and put in the water.

I would think that this would be an excellent starting point for someone who wants into the hobby for cheap, and doesn't mind some tinkering. Or, build it up for the nostalgia factor ;-)

I do not have any intentions of parting it out, it comes as a package deal. I'd prefer that you pick it up, but will pack to ship on your dime if absolutely necessary. Please remember, I'm doing this as a favor for someone.

Pictures below, if you want any more or better detailed ones, please let me know.

Best way to contact is email: subdude17349@comcast.net

    $250 for the entire lot.

    Jim is correct. (As usual)
This would make a perfect starting point for a beginner.
Sounds like you add a transmitter, ESC and you have all you need. BD
