Dave Merriman Build 1/96 Scale Vanguard RC Sub Static Propel System

Howdy, Folks. I am a long time member, borderline stalker on the SC Forum. Have done business on these pages in the past without problems. So, I have a sub on eBay currently...here's the listing...

"1/96 Scale : British Vanguard Nuclear Ballistic Missile RC Submarine. Very nice detail. Was the prototype submarine for the current OTW offering of the British Vanguard submarine with upgraded conning tower.

This boat was built and painted by Dave Merriman (famous in the RC submarine world), and sold over 6 years ago for greater than $3000.

Includes a "lipo guard” to prevent draining you LiPo batteries to the point of damage, and a dedicated BEC to power the radio receiver. This submarine uses a 75Mhz radio system (2.4 Ghz systems will not penetrate water).

Pictures will not be able to show the quality of the detailed paint job on submarine; it's quite nice. This huge submarine is a Static diver, utilizing a Merriman dive module (Propel system).

The submarine’s conning tower was damaged in transit when I purchased it 2 years ago. I repaired and repainted the tower, but the detail of the acoustic tiles is absent (see detailed photos).

    Length : 57" (1450 mm)
    Beam : 5" (130 mm)
    Scale - 1/96th

This is NOT a toy, and should only be purchased by someone with knowledge of RC submarines and hobby electronics.

This is sold AS IS, and no warranty implied or returns are accepted.

    Includes:
Submarine body with conning tower/masts shown
Water tight compartment (WTC) with electronic controls, servos and motor
Battery compartment with cables. You will need to provide your own 11.1V 3200 mA LiPo batteries x 2
75 Mhz RC transmitter, with receiver already installed in the WTC. This transmitter has a rechargeable batteries without charging cable
Transport stand (seen in photos) Light grey display stand made from PVC pipe and wood
Crystals for transmitter and installed receiver
    Propel can adapter

This huge submarine is truly ready-to-run with your LiPos and charger for the receiver. Based on different water densities/specific gravities, and differing weight LiPos, you will need to fine tune the ballast. Extra sheets of lead ballast will be included.

This will be crated and shipped ground only. Please note: This is a big, expensive, fragile model, and expect shipping to be greater than $100.00 ($135-$165 based on eBay's estimate).

PLEASE no international sales or bidders...sorry."

Why am I selling? I've been drawn to the dark (land) side...large scale RC tanks.

I'll get pictures up tomorrow. I'd rather sell it here and avoid eBays fees.

    Thanks for looking.
