For Sale: Doug Badgley's Type XXI - Ready to run

I have for sale Doug Badgley's very own type XXI. It is 1/48 scale and in perfect working order.
The model was based on a Rocky Mountain kit but Doug was not happy with the errors and inaccuracies of the kit and has completly rebuilt the whole hull.
There are hundreds of scribe lines, hundreds of free flooding holes, all the lines and markings in the deck have been drilled and cut out.
Doug has spent years researching the model and putting all his knowledge in this model.
This boat is almost the exact same one that Matt Thor will be offering soon. The only differences are the free flooding hole patterns in the tower and the bow of the boat. So if you are dreaming of having a Thor XXI but don't want to have to wait for the hulls to be release be sure to grab this one.
The boat comes complete with radio, batteries and all the electronics.
The radio is an ACE, the speed control is an MCD Ultra Minicon rated 20A 4.8-20V, battery is 6V 4Amps gel-cel that provides around 2 hours of running time. The boat is equiped with a subtech APC and failsafe. The ballast system is propel and uses Doug's very carateristic complexity, with no solenoid valves to worry about. The propulsion is done with a 450 engine with a 1]thierryc@rogers.com[/email]

Asking price is $2500 or best offer.

Contact me if you want to see a video of sub or pictures of the boat in the water.

          It has the cheater rudder

It has the cheater rudder because the turning performances are not the best with the real rudder. But the cheater rudder can be removed for scale apperance.
