The USS Georgia - Is the sub still on patrol?

I saw a ducumentary about Submarines by the Discovery Channel. The narrator said information about the use of submarines today and in the past. Comparing them between the two times. There was also a comparison between a Russian Typhoon and a Ohio class submarine. It was the USS Georgia (I know, the longest submarine in the world..) the captain gave us a tour of the ship, how it fires missiles, etc. After finding more information on SSBNs, I was wondering if there was any news about the Georgia still patroling the waters. Well, you might find this unusual, but I do live in Canada..... so there isn't really information going on about US subs. Do any of you guys know 'bout this?

The USS Georgia (SSBN 729) is currently in service and homeported at the Bangor Naval Base in Washington state. She is scheduled for a conversion to a SSGN in 2004.

Like a lot of U.S. Navy ships, she has her own web page too! Check out USS Georgia

    -hope this helps,
