    Well, that's actually a Hindu symbol (Swastika rangoli) that is most commonly used as a charm to bring good fortune. The launching of a ship would fall into that usage.

    It has no relationship with National Socialism other than that the Nazis 'borrowed' it when they created their 'historical' Aryan racial purity b.s.
