Well after the last Labor guvmints debarcle,buying an unproven design on paper, and the ongoing saga to get them seaworthy.
The lack of security from BEA industries & Kockums did not help the projects either.
Going with a current friendly country design, that actually makes subs, might be a wise choice.
Personally I'd like to see them built locally, (prefering the Japanese or German design over the French) away from the Asian & European conflicts developing.
RAN ships can get built elsewhere so why not subs?
Will this lot in guvmint be any different than the others.
