Was a proud member of the wardroom of USS City of Corpus Christi in 2002 when she became the first SSN to be homeported in Guam. Absolutely loved my 2 years there. Great people and great operations. Interesting that the first 3 boats stationed out there were 3 of the oldest we had at the time: 703, 705 and 711. Now putting the old guys out there means we have boats with VLS tubes and even an I-boat coming now.
