I was stationed in PH when I-401 was found so this story was a bit deja vu. The Sen Tokus are neat for their size, but (this may be heresy) I would be much more interested if they found the I-203. The Sen Taka Sho is much more interesting from a design/hull form perspective.

My father was on the USS Suwannee that sunk the Japanese submarine I-184.
It was the first ship to be hit by Kamikaze.
