why not make drugs legal to who wants them. Johonson and Johonson will take over the trade, we can collect taxes, the drug killers will be out of work, and we can save millions on jails, cops, military interventions (aka-military adventures into other peoples countries) . we american seem to have knock for involving our selfs in wars that seem to go on and on. veit nam, the middle east. the drug wars. we never seem to win but they go on and on. i guess there good for business. thats seems like the only reason we keep getting into them. we went from a second rate military power in world war two to the biggest navy, air force and merchant marine in the world, we defeated the japanese, the germans, the italians . all who had large and very effective militaries, we supplied the whole world also. we did that in approx. 45 months. we have been fighting in those middle eastern countries for ten years! our enemies are armed with rifles and cell phone home made bombs. TEN YEARS!!!!. if we were fighting world war two this way we would still be waiting for the invasion of normandy. sorry i had to blow off a little steam. kurt250Comment

Because now that we're the world super power, the heart-on-their-sleeves crowd doesn't think it's fair to use overwhelming force and just wipe out our enemies and be done with it, and have peace. That of course wouldn't be PC. But it would stop a lot of future wars if the bad guys knew we wouldn't mess around when they raise their fists.Comment

pirate, your most likely correct. but we won't do that. its not p.c. so stay out of all these foreign entanglements as our founding fathers warned. that book on war written by the chinese hundreds of years ago hit it right on the head." no army should take the first step on a march with out knowing what the last step will be." we just keep jumping in and never check if theres any water in the pool.kurt250Comment
