Just a re-hash of some
Just a re-hash of some earlier info....... good photos.
A lot of dedication by the son to find his father's boat:
First the near-impossible task to find relevant paperwork about a Japanese vessel's encounter with a sub in this area.
Then, the equally near-impossible task of finding the wrecksite.
Only a few early articles showed the photo of an open hatch near the boat's radio room.
A few local friends who are ex-military or are submarine knowledgeable have come up with a few uncomfortable hypotheses of how the crewmen died........ in minutes, an hour maybe or after many long months -- in a POW camp.
Photos including this open hatch.
