    Japan's attempts to attack the U.S. mainland during World War II remind us that something can be both ludicrous and unfunny.

    The documentary "On a Wind and a Prayer" tells the long, complex tale of Japan's dedicated but futile attempts to harass North Americans by creating panic and tying up various kinds of service crews with unpredictable but widespread damage.

    I have been working with Michael White, the producer of "Wind & a Prayer" for the past 2 1/2 years on a documentary film about the raising of the K-129. This will be THE definitive film on the CIA sponsored operation to raise the Golf class submarine which sank in 1968. And no, "Red Star Rogue" is NOT correct; not even close...
