During a stop with my train in Cherbourg I seized the opportunity to take this shots of the big boat.

              Fans of the modern-style boats

Fans of the modern-style boats should take particular note of the weathering on the hull. These shots are perfect to illustrate the effects of weather on these hulls.

              Thanks for the pictures!

                Breathtaking photos Antoine! Opportune really!

Breathtaking photos Antoine! Opportune really! The overcast sky diffused the lighting making for uniform even lighting with no harsh shadows. This is the best series I have ever seen on Le Redoutable S 611. Bravo Antoine! Thank you for sharing these.

                  Hello all,

These photo's are just superb. I was wondering and I think that you'll probably all agree that (with Antoines permission) these photo's be placed somewhere more permanently on this website as they are a brilliant modelling resource for those wanting to do these boats.

Here's the Challenge to the British and American Governments. If the French government can give us such an incredible modlling opportunity such as this then why can't the Brits stick one of the old Resolutions in a bit pit and the US gov't an old Lafayette?

                  regards,

                  David H

                            yes they are gone because

yes they are gone because I signed a contract with the museum not to share this pictures.......in exchange I had the chance to go in the drydock to take some pics from the bottom and inside the sub too.
I hope to be able to share them again when I have the authorization.

For the people who had the chance to save the pics before I took them off the website, please keep them for you.
