The robot, called OceanOne, is powered by artificial intelligence and haptic feedback systems, allowing human pilots an unprecedented ability to explore the depths of the oceans in high fidelity.

Robotics are opening up new worlds and potential. Could this be used on a sub? I do not see why not.

Quite impressive! Lots of places it could be used, deep water welding/etc on oil rigs, pipelines, cables, survey work...

Though I would love to have it swim up to a beach and have it tap people on the shoulder.... They would do the bugs-bunny run across the water.
