]If I am understanding this article correctly, at some year in the near future, American Shipbuilders will be constructing TWO SSN's per year, AND One SSBN(the new Columbia Class) per year, for a total of three per year. And the new Columbia class SSBN will replace the older Ohio class SSBN, and new block V Virginia class will replace both the SSGN' and will continue the SSN production.
Sounds like a good plan to me, but like they said, can that many submarines be produced by so few of shipyards, and still deliver a quality product(That is the big question), the quality of the submarine being produced.
I bet they can, time will tell.
Anyhow, the US Navy and the Trump administration is going to step up the building of NEW US SUBMARINES.
