Sub rescues swimmer five miles offshore

THE Israeli navy said one of its submarines in the Mediterranean rescued a swimmer who was swept more than five miles offshore.
The navy said the submarine was engaged in a routine patrol off the port city of Haifa on Tuesday when crew members noticed the swimmer.
