A friend of mine does ship surveys and was fortunate enough to get to go to St. Petersburg Russia to look at the Russian SUBMARINE D-2 "NARODOVOLETS" a Foxtrot boat and the famous Russian battleship the "AURORA".
The D-2 was opened as a museum and memorial September 2, 1994. It's the only survivor from World War II in the Baltic. Originally, it was a class of six(?) submarines. Only two others survived the war.
I have a number of photos photos posted on my website. GO to www.rc-submarines.com and once you are inside the site, scroll down to "What's New". It is the only item listed for Jan 1, 04
