While browsing for the book "Steep angles and deep dives", I discovered a website that is apparently designed to show books in various libraries around the country. I started following the "Submarines(Ships)" section and found hundreds of books on submarines and on each listing for a book, it tells you what library has the book and its distance from your location. I have requested book loans from my local library many times in the past to see if it was worth buying and in doing so, I have built up a nice collection of naval and military books. I can remember many years ago hearing about P C Coker's book on building warship models, requesting it through my library, and eventually being able to buy it(for $80-my most expensive book ever).
