I want to build one of the Israeli Dolphin class subs. It may be some time before I do, but in the meantime I am collecting all the information I can. Thank you for your links they help a lot!
        Shalom,
        tom
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

Thank you Tom for the reply, That last set of photos has the best rendition of the newer blue paint job that I have ever seen. Also I noticed that it appears that some other foreign flag is on the Dolphin other than Germany. I often see them with either a German or Israeli flag, or both while it's being deliverd. But I've never seen this other flag before. I wonder what country it represents, and why would it be on the TANIN----Dolphin class submarine.
Also Tom, Do you have the OKB Grigorov resin DOLPHIN CLASS SUBMARINE kits, they come in 1/700 and 1/350 scale. Freetime hobbies carries them as does other outlets. The green one you see on my firs posting above I found on ebay, and I bought from some guy in Haifa, Israel. It appears to be made of wood or something like that, and does not have the best of detail on it. But the OKB Grigorov
kits look like they are pretty detailed to me.
I have two of each scale, but have not got around to making them as of yet. I wish that HobbyBoss, Bronco, Trumpeter, revell/monogram or some maor company would come out with a plastic easy to build styrene kit of all four of the Israeli submarines.
It would probably cost alot to manufacture. But on the plus side, Israel has only had four different submarines in it's entire history.
          1) Ex Brithish S-boat
          2) Ex British T-boat
          3) GAL modified from the German type 206A
          4) DOLPHIN CLASS Modified from the German type 209.
