U 505 Type IX in 1/72 scale!!

Coming this year from Revell of Germany. A large scale Type IX to go along with the previous Type VII model. This is a replica of the Turm III U-boat U505, which is currently in Chicago. Release in November, 2013. Price looks to be roughly around $100.

Hey, but from the looks of it. Its well worth the wait. Merriman could easily adapt his current type VIIC fittings kit for the new boat. Piece of Cake, huh Dave?

looks like it's done pretty well. If anyone decides to R/C it, that joint at the back to attach the stern section is going to need some strong adhesives; I didn't see any screws to hold it on.

Gosh, I'll probably get rid of my VIIc to have the IX instead. Always been much more interested in the IX. Good to see some plastic. Appears it is starting to appear on some auction sites based on comments elsewhere.

Has anyone heard anything about when they will show up here in the States? I'm asking for one for Christmas. It would be nice to get it before summer 2014.
