Re: Anyone ever order from these guys...?
Yes, they are still around. They helped a great deal in obtaining information about the Golf & Golf II class (Project 629A) for our film. I see they have the link to our film posted on their site. BTW, Michael White bought a Golf II model from Boris which was extremely good.

You're referring to the Project Azorian film? I take it that it has been released? How can one see it?
Regarding http://www.submarines.zx6.ru/ , I've sent yet another email and they keep bouncing back. Not sure what's going on there, going to try a different address next.

I had an update from Boris at Subs-N-Ships awhile back. He was planning to update/re-make his Granay (Yasen) mold based on new information on length and width.
However, I have been unable to access his site, Subs-n-Ships, this month.
This site shows Domain has expired
His newer, under-construction site, https://rusubs.wixsite.com/subs-n-ships/finished-models, seems active.

Subs-N-Ships is back.
Boris missed the expiration date for his hosting site. Everything is all fixed. He is still working and very busy.
He has a few projects lined up: an Ethan Allen, an updated/corrected Granay (Yasen), and, now that he has specs, maybe, just maybe, a project 885-M Kazan.
As regards his existing, slightly undersized, Granay, (Pr 885 Yasen or Ash class; sometimes named Severodvinsk) , I would say hold off ordering. It seems to be close to 1/400 in scale. However, for those wanting a 1/400 scale Severodvinsk, maybe give it a try??

Update: Boris sold 2 of this fully assembled kits last week. His site at vk.com has very nice photo's of all his kits too.
