Trumpeter Seawolf 1:144

Hi

Do you keep the seam between the top and bottom halves of the 1:144th Trumpeter Seawolf or does that
get puttied over?
Also (stupid question) is the suggested red bottom half of the hull the color scheme as delivered from the shipyard?
I thought when they go into active service the bottom gets painted black too.

As for you paint question...you are correct.
