    uss tang

i've been researching the tang in order to build a 1/72 scratch built model and after getting all the readily available information two gaps remain namely the layout of the space between the deck and the pressure hull and the minor differences between the tand and her sisters. any help would be greatly appreciated. when finished i'll be happy to share the research with any interested parties. fred brinks

    Clarification: Are you speaking about

Clarification: Are you speaking about the Balao class USS Tang (SS-306) or the postwar Tang (SS-563) high speed diesel class?

If the former, she was a Seahorse variant of the Balao class, which also included Seahorse, Skate & Tilefish, all built at Mare Island. If so, there is a msuem in Vallejo, Ca. that might be able to help with specifics.

      This site has several pages

This site has several pages of pictures of O'Kane's SS-306.

Don't know if there's enough there to help.
