Tom. Have you or any of the membership talked with Ken Hart recently? When I joined ten years ago, his articles and models were always the highlight for me. That man could Turn an old Lion Fish kit into a masterpiece. I'd like to see him turned loose on a new 1/72 Fleet Boat or a Type Vll kit. Thanks.

Who?
Seriously, I got a letter (you know, one of those paper things) from him a while back. He basically was burned out, and had moved onto other interests (including traveling to Russia). However, he did say that some of the new submarine kits were tempting him to return to building (we can only hope). This past January's Fine Scale had a feature on the German Type XXI in drydock that he built at least a dozen years or more ago. Maybe publishing this older work is the first sign of renewed interest on his part.
Both he and Marshall Clark are still SC members, and these guys both had a tremendous influence on me joining the SC (since I am not, nor will I ever be, interested in building an R/C submarine). As I have done in the past, I do have a "tweak" to both of these guys in the Static on the Line column in upcoming March SCR issue. By baiting them, maybe I'll get them to resurface...
