Nichimo 1/200 I-19 ...

I'm new to sub modeling, but was fascinated by a Nichimo 1/200 I-19 kit I saw in my local plastic money pit. I found a couple of reviews that say this is a good kit; has anyone actually built it and have any comments/advice?

Also, are there any aftermarket sets for it? And, finally, does anyone know where I can get one (the one I was looking at disappeared, and the kit is apparently OOP, at least for now)?
