Pricey? It's $22. Come on, it's the only show in town for a Hotel class! That's competitive with their Oscar class kits at $29. Besides, we have all these people drooling over the (as yet vaporware) Revell Gato kit. At 1/72, that puppy is going to run in the $120-150 range (before the aftermarket geegaws).

I was actually trying to find Hotel class plans, as I was going to attempt a scratchbuild of that class. Now all we need is a decent Golf class model and I can complete my Glomar Explorer diorama...

          If you do find some

If you do find some Hotel plans, please let me know as I am hoping to do a 1/72 K-19 some time in the near future (who knows what that means....).

          Thanks,
          Jonathan

I'm not saying I cannot afford it but compared to Alanger's Akula (a really nice kit) at 15$ or the 1/144 kits from Trumpeter (in the range of 20$) it looks a little bit expensive (in relative terms for the scale!)

And your right it's in the same price range as their Oscars (BTW]http://www.subcommittee.com/forum/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]

              Just to confirm my point

Just to confirm my point of view on the price]http://www.dragonmodelsusa.com/dmlusa/prodd.asp?pid=ZVE9025

It's just 6$ cheaper but is more or less the shipping cost.

If these cool static kits keep coming out, I'm never going to get around to my R/C build.

Scarce? Seems like you are not checking the FAS site!!
This drawing is a beauty, full of accurate details!

They should be ashamed by having a five years old child drawing as a reference!

                    These are better:

What? You don't like the FAS drawings? These are factual drawings, based on their theories of submarine design!

I agree the second set from the Russian Naval site are much better, but trying to draw accurate cross sectional plans to scale from those drawings would still be a challenge.

Good think about the lack of good references to compare the model is the silly happiness associated to a OOTB construction
