What color did you use for the main deck? looks very similar to the few color photos of U-boats decks!
Thanks Gerwalk! I actually used oil colors and tried to match those color photos. I used black, white, raw umber, and a touch of raw sienna.
Oils work well on the wooden deck because it's the only organic part on the boat and you can vary the color easier because they don't dry fast like enamels.

Excellent idea! I love oils. I use them in my airplane and robot models for paneling. They are great to work with.
