U-boat Pics - Pics of my first model

    Hi Guys,

Please check out my first model. It's the Revell 1/72 U-boat. I used Houshinya's periscopes and barrels. The rigging is metal wire, which was a real pain. I also opened up all the flood holes minus the deck. I didn't pick any particular u-boat, so I guess you could say it's a generalization.

I've already started another and will use WEM and Modelbrass' photoetches. If and when Houshinya begins making the pericopes and barrels again, I will definitely use them.

I'm a fine art painter. My wife and I had our first baby, so I have taken a year off from painting. Whatever little time I have, I work on the model. You can check out some of my paintings too if you like as well as my new. beautiful daughter, Emma.

    Thanks and enjoy.

    Jess

        Thanks for the positive feedback

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. The other half of the fun of modeling is posting photos and reading all the feedbacks.

I wish more people would post photos of this model.

        Thanks again.
