1/72 Japanese Midget Sub - Fine Molds kit

Is this a good kit? I'm new to subs but I always liked the little Japanese midget. Hobbylink Japan has it for around $35 US.

I saw this model at the IPMS show in Phoenix, AZ a couple of weeks ago. It is a beautiful little model, but I couldn't really justify the $35 price tag. But that's just me, I prefer US Subs.
Also, how to display it would be a problm for me. At 1]

Thanks for the info. I am planning on displaying it next to, but not on top of, my 1/72 Type VII. It may make in interesting conversation piece.
