New Static Submarine Kit for 2021

OKB Grigorov is now making an ISRAELI GAL CLASS SUBMARINE in 1/350 scale. As you know, the INS Gal is a museum boat in Haifa, Israel. There were three GAL submarines that served Israel well from 1976-2003. INS GAL, INS Tanin, and INS Rahav. They were painted with the Mediterranean green color, only wearing black during sea trials near Scotland. OKB Grigorov now has a 1/700 scale GAL as well as this new 1/350 scale one. Also, OKB Grigorov still makes a 1/700 Israeli Dolphin class submarine resin kit. Why he quit making the 1/350 Dolphin, I do not know. I wish he'd put the 1/350 Dolphin back into production.

or even do the new Dolphin II!
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

Your right Salmon. I was "talking" to Georgi Grigorov on facebook yesterday, when he mentioned that the next 1/350 scale submarine was heading to the draftsman/drawers table any day now. I asked him if it was an Israeli DOLPHIN 2. He said no. Apparently he keeps that information under his hat until the time of release(I'm okay with that). Speaking of DOLPHIN 2s, what's taking Germany so long to deliver the INS DRAGON?? Probably covid-19. But my goodness. I guess the Lord is teaching me patience. When Israeli finally does get the INS Dragon, that will bring their submarine count to 6. But the 1st generation DOLPHINs are getting pretty old. Both Germany and Israel are planning to start work to replace the original DOLPHIN 1s. Hope it all goes well with them.Click image for larger version
