Revell 1/72 scale U-Boat build begins. - Moving the anchor housing forward.

    Evening Guys,

Well, I've gone ahead and done it. After opening up the casing drainage holes, I turned my attention to bow section of the new Revell U-Boat. The anchor recess was moved forward and the torpedo tube door openings shortened. The Anatomy Of The Ship book has been a big help in these early stages. Next up is adding the strapping and replacing the rivets.

    Regards,

    Randy

      Sam,

....it looks like Squadron's "White Stuff" putty. It's a finer grained version of their "Green Stuff".

Still plugging away on the U-Boat. I filled in the casing drain holes in the foremost part of the bow and opened new ones, proper size, number and location. I like how the stern section is turning out; opening up all of those holes is really worth the effort. Next is to form the visible sections of the pressure hull.

        Randy
