U.S. "S" Class Boats - What are the colors, circa 1930's?

Morning Mates,

I'm working on the BWN American "S" Class kit. Are the colors on the box correct for the kit? All I have are B&W photos and no other descriptions of the boat's exterior colors.

Don't hold me to it, but, as I remember, they were painted exactly like their surface brethern. Black waterline, haze gray verticle surfaces, dark deck (Dark Gray) horizontal surfaces and red bottoms.
