    Gotland

    hi,

does anyone have reliable schematics of the Gotland Class? I am having difficulty understanding the forward section

Also, some Swedish boats have a rotary torpedo magazine. Did the gotlands revert back to a regular torpedo room?

I received from Kochum Marine a large drawing.
It shows Right side, left side and top.
It also has 2 rear view sections and 2 front view sections.

What exactly are you looking for?
    -----------------------------------------------------
I have a small image of that drawing on my Gotland build site.

I have a few other items they gave me such as measurements of the bottom grounding rails.
They are shown on the drawing but there where no numbers.

I have an Excel Spread Sheet that I have put the numbers from the drawing in to that has a scaling feature.
You put in the scale number you want, it recalculates all the other measurements.
    Millimeters to feet and inches.

Yes I saw your excellent build site. That drawing is fantastic, but I am after the inside. I must confess that I am an illustrator not a modeller and i want to draw a cutaway of the Gotland Class or maybe Nacken or Västergötland class. So I am after schematics, particularly of the bow.

Saab use this nice pic, but it confuses me... where is the forward bulkhead?

Here is a photo of the torpedo tubes in the Gotland taken while it was in San Diego .

Here is a photo of the lower right smaller tube.

By looking at the pipe fittings going through the bulkhead, this bulkhead may be the most forward in the pressure hull.

Here is a link to the sight where the photos from a tour of the Gotland are posted.
They might help to see how compartments are arrange.

I'd assumed that there was a rotary magazine like on older Swedish boats, perhaps where the suspiciously vague while module is above the torpedo room.

          Same goes for the Vastagotlands
