Hi all. Just letting you folks know that I've posted a full set of working drawings, drawn by me, of my interpretation of some 1860's drawings of the CSS Manassas. While the real thing could adjust its freeboard quite a bit, it wasn't a full-on submarine ... but there's no reason an R/C replica couldn't be!
The drawings (including many, many cross sections) are up on another site, which you can find at this link:

For those who might want to see pics of my finished static model of that same boat, here's another link to check out]http://forum.sub-driver.com/showthread. ... am-Atragon[/url]
... and for those who are willing to look around wherever books and magazines are sold, know that the model seen above was the subject of a detailed build article, a few years back. I write pretty regularly (whenever I can / "real life" lets me) for the folks who publish "Sci-Fi & Fantasy Modeller," out of England ... so, when they first decided they wanted to try out a special issue related to Steampunk projects around 2010 or so, and they asked me if I had anything that I might want to contribute to that issue, I was quick to volunteer the static model seen above. So, if you're a fan of printed articles (as I am!), and crazy 1800's boats, (and who isn't?!), it might be worth your while to search around a bit for a copy of the first "Steampunk Modeller" volume. (That volume has gone out of print and then had another printing, twice now that I know of; and at present, I think it's out-of-print again ... or I'd just refer you to the publisher's web site!)
