Linkage and shaft seals- where to buy ?

Does anyone know where to buy the shaft seals and linkage seals wholesale ?

No, I am not looking to buy them from an online like subconcepts or subtech, etc (no offense guys - your great).

I am looking for the wholesaler/distributer. Is it Mccarr, Clippard, etc ?
Does anyone have a part number ?

If you don't want to post the info, please e-mail it to me at nkefalas@optonline.com

Please, I don't want any commercial folks sending me e-mails about cutting me a break on x number of quantities.

This is for a commecial experimental project.

    Thank you and Happy Holidays.

    What's wrong with companies like

What's wrong with companies like SubConcepts or Subtech offering wholesale prices to your for large volumes?

That's what wholesaling is, isn't it?

Their products are tried and tested, and are well recognized for their quality.

        Bob

They buy their products from "somewhere" don't they ?

I just wish to know where.

We have some custom needs at the "place" my name indicates and we need some info.

We are not going into bussiness here. We are looking to locate the supplier for specific technical questions and some potential custom work.

Please let me know if you can help.

            Thanks Ed

I was looking for the suplier or manufacturer because we need to order some different sizes than those featured on the web sites. i.e. 1/2" shaft or others.

We are also looking at quantities of 50 plus.

Maybe I should just contact Skip or Subconcepts or someone else to find out who make these seals for them.

            Any other inputs welcomed.

                    I believe the industry term

I believe the industry term for what you seek is "radial lip seal" or "radial lip shaft seal", that is, a seal for a rotating shaft which is bound by an internal spring.

Sealing Specialties offers advanced seal components, including o-rings, oil seals, mechanical seals, and more, to handle your applications.

Shaft Lip seals, o-rings, hydraulic seals and other seal products.

Safrole and Davy Thank you !

I think we got it with that one.

We are doing some research for the NSF and the NAVY (actually we do alot of research for them, but this is just one project).

I am not a liberty to say, but its pretty cool if it works.

A lot of time in the "pool" on this one !

I am also trying to build my Robbe U-47 on the side. At least for that one I have "instructions" !!

Happy Holidays to all and thanks for your help !

                      Outstanding !
