These guys emailed me with a link to their site showing many photos of a scratch type XXI build up including electric torpedoes.

Hi,
I really like your site of RC subs.
Maybe I have an interesting link that you can
add. A friend of mine is building a German type XXI sub
from scratch.
It is still in development but almost ready for it´s first dive (were waiting for some better weather though.)
The sub also features a total of six microprocessor
controlled torpedoes. I designed the elektronics for them.
The microprocessor is controlling the torpedoes
engine to start after firing and stopping them after a preprogrammed time (to make sure that the torpedo is not lost).
The site currently only has photos and a few movies
(of the torpedoes in action) it does not contain any text yet
but the photo´s are self explaining a lot. (the site is like the sub - still in development)
I think maybe some of your site´s visitor might be
interested in it. When they have a question they can of course mail me but please do not put my email address directly on your site. (If you have questions, email them to Tim Smalley at tmsmalley @ yahoo.com and I will forward them to Stephan)
Our site can be found at]http://home.planet.nl/~oldeh030[/url]
kind regards,
Stephan Grunder
