Foam (pink) Trim protection

Hi sub fellows,

My Akula was trimmed with pink foam (Home Depot) as is, exposed to the water. Is this type of foam impermeable to water or it would serve me better to have it coated
with some type of solution, and if so what works best?

Water won't hurt that type of foam. I've used it for years with no problems.
