What is your #1 favorite submarine movie of all time?
Re: What is your #1 favorite submarine movie of all time?
OP was on Movies! a week or so ago and I had a chance to catch it again. The print was awful. Might as well have been watching it through a screen door (their stuff is usually very good). But I really had a good time with the story and humor. Both Cary Grant and Tony Curtis were very good in it. Of course the Sea Tiger was the real star!
Re: What is your #1 favorite submarine movie of all time?
Dasboot was my favorite movie. Saw it at the University of Rochester, German version, no subtitles (no pun intended) and loved every minute of it. Didn't need english subtitles as you could figure out everything going on.

This is a tough one there are so many good ones it all depends on weather you want historic or Sci FY. If you look at when it was made you really can't beat 20K.
Re: What is your #1 favorite submarine movie of all time?
I agree there are several i like. 20,000 leagues, hunt for Red October, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Das Boot, but another I liked when I was younger Fantastic Voyage.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.
Re: What is your #1 favorite submarine movie of all time?
It is hard too pick just one.
The actors, the plot, the sub, the effects, so many reasons why one is a favorite.
It's not an easy choice and we should not be forced too choose!
List them all, watch them all, go build and float / sink something.
